Republican Polls GOP April 12 2016 Trump, Cruz, Kasich

All eyes are on New York, which is the next state which goes to the polls in the Republican Primaries on April 19. There are currently only 3 candidates left out of 17 who were originally competing for the nomination, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich.

New York is Trump`s home state and he is expected to do extremely well here, which is fortuitous for him given that a total of 95 delegates will be awarded in the state.

The current RealClearPolitics average shows the following percentages

Donald Trump      53.5%
John Kasich        21%
Ted Cruz            18.8%

If this results were to hold true in every single congressional district then Trump would obtain almost all of the delegates in the state of New York and receive a timely boost in his quest to reach the 1,237 delegates he requires.

Following Trump`s hefty defeat in Wisconsin to Texas Senator Ted Cruz there has been a certain amount of debate swirling around as to whether or not Trump is losing momentum, a resounding victory in New York would once again serve to dispell this notion and galvantize his supporters.
