Exit Poll Arkansas Today November 8 2016

Since 1964 Arkansas has a total of 6 electoral votes in the electoral college, it is a state that is considered "safe" for Donald Trump given that the polls have him leading by a large margin over the last few months.

Arkansas has voted republican since 1996 (When they voted for Bill Clinton).

In fact in each election since 1996 the republicans have increased their share of the vote, in 2012 Mitt Romney secured 60.6% of the vote, compared to 36.9% for President Obama.

Polls at the national level have been quite unstable and we will not know who is the new president until one of the candidates has passed the magic mark of 270 electoral votes.

Super Tuesday Polls Republican 2016

With under a week until Super Tuesday, it is a massive moment for the aspiring candidates as so many states will be casting their vote for who they wish to assume the mantle as the republican nominee for the presidency in 2016.

Businessman Donald Trump leads in 9 states while Texas Senator Ted Cruz currently has the advantage in Arkansas and Texas. Establishment favourite Marco Rubio is not leading in any states, the question will be how many delegates can each candidate secure and how split the vote will be.

It looks like it will be Donald Trump`s day, but who knows, a week is a long time in politics.
