How did Donald Trump win the Election in the United States





What seemed impossible for many, has transpired. During this Tuesday night results began to emerge from across the nation and bit by bit Donald Trump began to gain the upper hand.

Worry began to set in within the Clinton camp as results trickled in from Florida, showing a very tight race indeed, with the advantage passing between the two candidates, until the businessman finally began to pull away.

Early results in the states of North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania seemed to favor Clinton, showing her with a lead, however Trump slowly began to overcome the deficit and ended up taking all three.

Trump will be inaugurated on January 20, 2017.

Connecticut Exit Poll Today November 8 2016

Connecticut is considered a solidly blue state, that is to say, democrat.

Since 1992 Connecticut has opted for the democrats in presidential races, sometimes by a very large margin.

This year it is considered a "safe" state for Hillary clinton, this is due to polls which show her with a large margin that is not expected to be overturned by Trump.

The state offers only 7 electoral votes and the results are expected to start coming in after the polls close on the evening of November 8, we will keep you informed.

Colorado is one of the key states in the presidential race this year.

Despite only having 9 electoral votes, there is a lot of attention being placed here, given that the state has fluctuated between republican and democrat over the last few election cycles.

Between 1996 and 2004 the state voted republican and then in 2008 and 2012 they switched to vote democrat, voting for the President Barack Obama. Amazingly Colorado has voted for the overall winner of the election in 8 out of the last 9 presidential races.

Donald Trump is loved by some, hated by others. He has been a very different type of political candidate than has been seen before.

On the other hand, Hillary Clinton has tried to put herself across as a more stable and experienced candidate as a better alternative to Trump.

The first results should start being published as the night wears on, and once a candidate has passed 270 electoral votes, they will be declared the winner, to be inaugurated in 2017.

Since 1964 Arkansas has a total of 6 electoral votes in the electoral college, it is a state that is considered "safe" for Donald Trump given that the polls have him leading by a large margin over the last few months.

Arkansas has voted republican since 1996 (When they voted for Bill Clinton).

In fact in each election since 1996 the republicans have increased their share of the vote, in 2012 Mitt Romney secured 60.6% of the vote, compared to 36.9% for President Obama.

Arizona Exit Poll Today November 8 2016

Arizona has been branded as a "swing state" for this election, this due to a number of polls showing a closer race than unusual here.

Mitt Romeny won the state for the republicans by a solid 9 points in 2012, in fact the state has only voted democrat once in the last 60 years of presidential elections (for Bill Clinton in 1996).

Despite this Trump is still favorite to win the state and he really needs to, a valuable 11 electoral votes are available here and Trump`s path to victory is more complex than Clintons.

A short while after the polls close, vote counting will begin and we will have the results as soon as they are available.

Alaska is the northernmost state in the America, sparsely populated, it has a mere 3 electoral votes which are given to the winner.

It has been classified as a "safe state" for the republicans, meaning that the margen between the two candidates according to polling is considered to be too large to over turn for the Clinton.

The last time that the Democrats won here in a presidential election was in the year 1964, more than 50 years ago.

The first results are expected to start arriving shortly after the polls close and as soon as we have reliable information, it will be published here.

Alabama is a firmly republican state, in fact it has voted right wing in the last 9 presidential elections.

It has a total of 9 electoral college votes and according to the latest polls Trump leads for a few points and the site 270towin.com describes it as a "safe state" for the republicans.

Miami Dade County Presidential Election Results 2016





The big day has finally arrived and we are currently waiting for the first results from the 2016 Presidential Election to be announced.

As many know, Florida is a key state in any national election and since 2012 has been allocated 29 electoral college votes due to demographic factors. An increase of 2 from 2008 when it was assigned just 27.

In Miami-Dade county there is a clean democrat leaning electorate, in 2012 race when Obama ended up beating Mitt Romney by 50%-49.1% on the state level, however, vital to this victory was Obama`s superior level of triumph in Miami where he amassed 61.6% of the vote compared to 37.9% for Romney.

North Carolina is considered one of the key swing states in this election campaign, polls have shown Clinton with a slight advantage here, although it is a state that Donald Trump seemingly must win.

In 2008 President Barack Obama won the state by just 0.3% and then in 2012 Romney triumphed by a mere 2.0%.

Without any doubt there will be a great deal of attention and importance placed upon North Carolina when the first results start coming in later tonight.

According to current projections, North Carolina is a must win for Donald Trump, it boasts a notoriously devided electorate who handed Barack Obama victory in 2008 by the narrowest of margins (A mere 0.3%) and then turned Republican in 2012, with Romney winning by just 2.0%.

The state has 15 electoral votes up for grabs and is of course winner take all, so just a few votes really could make the difference here.

Texas is without doubt the most famous republican state in recent times, in fact a democrat hasn`t won in a presidential election here since 1976.

There are 38 electoral college votes available here and it is considered a "safe state" for republican candidate Donald Trump. Polls have shown him with a strong and consistent lead during the whole campaign.

In the 2012 election Mitt Romney won with 57.2% of the vote, compared to 41.4% for President Barack Obama.

This has without doubt been one of the most controversial in recent times, with both candidates being embroiled in different scandals.

Vermont is one of the smallest states in the country, with only 3 electoral votes available. It is considered a "safe state" for Hillary Clinton as the democrats have won the last 6 presidential elections here having previously been solid republican.
