Alaska is the northernmost state in the America, sparsely populated, it has a mere 3 electoral votes which are given to the winner.

It has been classified as a "safe state" for the republicans, meaning that the margen between the two candidates according to polling is considered to be too large to over turn for the Clinton.

The last time that the Democrats won here in a presidential election was in the year 1964, more than 50 years ago.

The first results are expected to start arriving shortly after the polls close and as soon as we have reliable information, it will be published here.
