"Mad" Mark Hughes : The Real Rocket Man (Video)

Over the past few years the Flat Earth conspiracy theory has returned with a vengeance, one only has to look upon youtube to see how videos explaining the idea have garnered millions of views.

As the notion that the earth is not a sphere but is in fact round, gains more and more acolytes, some people within the community have thrown caution to the wind and plan to take more drastic action to prove themselves right.

Enter "Mad" Mark Hughes, who plans to launch himself 600 meters into the air in a rocket he made himself.

He will attempt the insane project this Saturday over the Route 66 ghost town of Amboy in California, land owned by Albert Okura.

A previous attempt to carry out the launch was halted by authorities, who denied that Hughes had permission to use public land.

Earthquake Prediction in California October 2016

A suprising warning has been issued by officials that there is an increased possibility of a moderate to strong earthquake striking southern California within the next few days.

A "Swarm" of smaller tremors set off the alert, due to the worry that these may have increased the pressure along the San Andres fault line.

Only two of the tremors were above 4.0 on the richter scale but the area that they hit are of particular concern of seismologists.

“This is close enough to be in that worry zone,” said seismologist Lucy Jones to Los Angeles Times. “It’s a part of California that the seismologists all watch.”

Presidential Debate Time September 26 2016 California

With less than a week left until the first presidential debate takes place between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton, nerves are being frayed.

It has been reported by The Washington Times that Hillary Clinton is preparing obsessively for the debates, pouring over politicy papers and readying herself for anything that the boisterous businessman can throw her way.

Trump on the other hand is reportedly taking a more relaxed approach, meeting informally with his advisors for Sunday lunch where they chat over possible attacks that he can land on Clinton.

The debate is scheduled to being at 9pm ET, this will make it 6pm in California.

Lester Holt from NBC will moderate this first debate, which over 100 million Americans are expected to watch.

Polls Clinton vs Trump California August 2016

As would be expected, Hillary Clinton has a massive advantage over Trump in the polling for the presidential election in the state of California.

According to the latest RealClearPolitics average (which takes into account the last 5 reliable polls in the state conducted between May 19- July 19) Clinton has a lead of 22.2%.

During the primary campaign Trump was keen to stress that he could bring certain democrat states into play, which no other candidate could, such as New York. Despite that, California would probably be too ambitious even for the real estate mogul to contemplate.

The latest nationwide polls show Trump trailing Clinton by about 6 points, although many Trump supporters have questioned the veracity of the polling methods.

A new poll coming out of the state of California shows Republican candidate Donald Trump with a significant lead.

Trump polled 38.3% of the vote followed by 22.4% for Cruz and 19.7% for Kasich. Rubio had 10.1% of the preferences but has since suspended his campaign, 9.6% of the voters were undecided.
