Republican Exit Polls Indiana May 3 2016

Today the Republican Primary is taking place in the state of Indiana. 57 delegates are up for grabs in this winner-take-all state and all eyes will be on the state in order to see if Donald Trump will be stopped or if he can triumph in similar fashion as he did last Tuesday.

Should Trump win here then it will be even more likely that he will be victorious in the race for the nomination, something that is looking increasingly likely as the Primary Campaign rolls on.

As soon as the first exit polls are available they will be published here.

Indiana Republican Polls GOP April 27 2016 Trump, Cruz

Voters in the state of Indiana will finally have their opportunity to express their opinions over which republican primary candidate best represents their views when they go to the polls on May 3.

The state, which comes late in the primary process and would usually be of little importance, has now been brought to centre stage, given the delicate nature of the race.

There are a total of 57 delegates that will be on offer and the state adopts a winner-take-all approach to their allocation. Meaning that whoever wins will walk away with 100% of the delegates.

According to the latest RealClearPolitics Average (April 18-22) it is Donald Trump who is making the running in the state, although his lead is not as impressive as it has been in some states. The businessman is at 39.3% followed by Cruz 33% and Kasich 19.3%.

Should Trump be victorious here then he will certainly maintain his hopes of obtaining the 1,237 delegates alive.

Delaware Exit Polls Republican Primary April 26 2016

This Tuesday 5 states will go to the polls as the Republican Primary season nears its conclusion.

Hitherto it has been a hectic campaign, with Donald Trump sparking numerous controversies and annoying the establishment. He looks set to continue doing it, as according to polls he is ahead in all 5 states that vote today and looks set to win them all.

In Pennsylvania however, there are a total of 71 delegates available but 54 of them are unbound, meaning that Trump could win the state handily but only receive 17 delegates.

A new poll by Gravis conducted between April 17-18 showed Trump on 55%, followed by John Kasich with 18% and Cruz in third place with 15%.

As soon as the first exit polls and results are available they will be published here.

Rhode Island Exit Polls Republican Primary 26 April 2016

The tiny state of Rhode Island is often overlooked in Primary Campaigns, both due to its size and also the late date of voting here. This year however things are a little different, every delegate counts and so there is more focus on the state than there would usually be.

Recent polls have shown that Donald Trump is firmly in the lead in this state with anywhere between 38-61%. There are 19 delegates available in the state which are allocated in a proportional manner.

It would appear that Trump has a very good chance of winning in all 5 states as polls show him ahead in all of them. Should this happen he will definitely keep alive his hopes of obtaining the 1,237 delegates that are needed in order to confirm the nomination.

As soon as the first exit polls and results are available for the state of Rhode Island, they will be published here.

Connecticut Exit Polls Republican April 26 2016

The scene is set, as the Republican Primary season reaches its defining moments, uncertainty is swirling around the entire process. It is not yet sure if any candidate can reach the 1,237 candidates required in order to bag the nomination. In fact the only one left who can really do it, is businessman Donald Trump.

If no candidate ends up reaching the number of delegates that are needed, then the convention with be contested, until we finally have a winner.

Connecticut is not normally associated with a great deal of attention during the primaries, due to its small size and the fact that it votes late on in the process. This year however, it has taken on greater importance due to how tight the race has become.

As soon as the first exit polls and results are known, they will be published here.

Maryland Republican GOP Polls 25 April 2016 Trump, Cruz

The state of Maryland is due to vote on April 26, with a total of 38 delegates up for grabs. Usually at this stage of the race the competition is pretty much done and dusted, however this year there is a completely different state of affairs which has lead to much more attention being invested in smaller states which vote late in the campaign.

According to updated polling numbers, it is once again Donald Trump who is the frontrunner and looks like the big favorite to notch up yet another important triumph.

Maryland Latest Republican Polls

PPP (April 5-17) Sample Size 310, Margin of Error 5.7%

Donald Trump   43%
John Kasich     29%
Ted Cruz          24%

Monmouth (April 10-12) Sample Size 301, Margin of Error 5.7%

Donald Trump   47%
John Kasich     27%
Ted Cruz          19%

With such a significant lead it would be hard to bet against "The Donald" winning yet another state, although there is much debate about whether he can make it past the magic 1,237 delegates he requires to achieve the nomination.

Republican Polls GOP Pennsylvania April 23 2016 Trump, Cruz

After a thumping win for Donald Trump in New York all eyes are now on the next 5 states to go to the polls on April 26. Yet another Super Tuesday will bring out republican and Democrat voters in the states of Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Delaware and Connecticut.

The big question now is whether or not Trump can repeat his success which on Tuesday saw him win a total of 89 delegates out of a possible 95.

If polls are anything to go by then Trump has a very good chance of winning the popular vote in Pennsylvania and Maryland, the other states are somewhat a mystery due to the fact that no reliable polling has been done recently in these areas.

As regards to Pennsylvania the RealClearPolitics average (April 4-18) has Trump at 43.8% followed by Cruz in second place with 24.6% and Kasich in third with 23.6%.

Maryland shows a very similar story with the businessman on 41% but Kasich edging out Cruz for second place with 26.3%, the Texas Senator comes in third with 24.5%

Should these numbers play out on election day then Trump has a very good chance of pushing closer to the 1,237 delegates he requires to win the nomination, however, in Pennsylvania a total of 54 delegates are unbound, so conceivably he could win with a majority of the popular vote but still be way behind in terms of delegate allocation in the state.

Results Bernie Sanders New York Primary April 19 2016

Bernie Sanders has been the great surprise in the Democratic Primaries this year. Running on a platform of democratic socialism he has attracted massive crowds who say they want to see a fairer society.

Today voters in New York will go to the polls to decide with Democratic candidate best represents their views and values. According to recent polling Hillary Clinton holds a lead over Sanders in the northern state but her advantage has been eroded slightly following a string of Sanders victories since the end of April.

A win for the Senator from Vermont in New York could be an excellent stepping stone going into the next primaries on April 26, when 5 more states will go to the polls and a large amount of delegates are at stake.

In a recent interview Sanders claimed that he believes the superdelegates will begin to defect to his cause as he begins to win more states across the country.

As soon as the first results are available they will be published here.

New York Primary Exit Polls 19/4/2016

Today voters in the state of New York will have the opportunity to voice their opinions on who should represent their party in the 2016 presidential election.

On the Democrat side, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton will battle it out in a race that is becoming closer than many analysts had at first thought. Excluding superdelegates, who support Clinton in overwhelming numbers and the race is pretty close.

As for the Republicans Donald Trump maintains a healthy lead in the delegate count but it remains to be seen whether or not he will reach the amount that he needs in order to put the nomination beyond doubt.

Recent polling suggest that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the favorites going into the New York Primary but we will await the first exit polls to have an indication who is winning.

Democratic Exit Polls New York April 19 2016 Clinton, Sanders

The big day has finally arrived, today is the New York Primary for the Democratic Party and we are all anxiously awaiting the dramatic face off between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.

For months Clinton has been dominating the polls in the northern state, far ahead of Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders, however in the last few weeks there has been some indications that Sanders may be narrowing the gap. That said, Hillary Clinton remains a strong favorite in the state.

Clinton currently holds a very large lead in the delegate count mainly due to the fact that she was overwhelming support from superdelegates, who can vote whichever way they please, however in a recent interview Sanderes claimed that he was still confident of victory because he believes these superdelegates will change allegiances as he continues to win states across the country.

As soon as the first democratic exit polls are available they will be published here.

Donald Trump Results New York Primary April 19 2016

Donald Trump`s unique style and rhetoric around controversial topics such as immigration has added extra spice to this year`s Republican Primaries. However it has also lead to a deep divide in the party, with some republicans starting a "Never Trump" campaign in which they pledge not to vote for him even if he is eventually chosen as the Party`s nominee.

On the other hand polls show that despite a rather high unfavorability rating, Trump`s core supporters are the most loyal amongst any candidate. This means that whatever the outcome, if Trump turns out being the overall winner in the Primaries, or if he loses in a contested convention despite having obtained more votes, some part of the party will be greatly disenfranchised.

The State of New York goes to the polls today and is seen as a vital test as to whether or not Trump can obtain the delegates he requires. According to recent polls he is a long way ahead of his rivals, Ted Cruz and John Kasich, who are gripped in a tight battle for second place.

As soon as the results are known, they will be immediately published here.

Results New York Exit Polls Trump April 19 2016

Today the state of New York will go to the polls for the Republican and Democratic Primaries in what is sure to be an eventful election.

On the Republican side entrepreneur Donald Trump is the clear favorite heading into the Primary, given that New York is his home state and current polls have him topping 50% of the vote.

Should Trump win by a large margin in all the congressional districts then he has a very good chance of winning the majority of the 95 delegates that the state offers.

Should "The Donald" indeed triumph then it will certainly be seen as a boost for his campaign after resounding defeats in Utah and Wisconsin to Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

When the first exit polls are available they will be published here.

New York Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

Donald Trump, who is currently leading the Republican Race will face off against Ted Cruz and John Kasich in his home state of New York on April 19. Many commentators see Trump as the massive favourite going into the contest and polls support this conclusion.

In fact such is the businessman`s support in the northern state that the majority of recent polls are showing him easily exceeding 50% of the vote. Should this be reflected in the results and Trump gains the majority of support in all districts then he would win almost all of the delegates that are on offer, a total of 95.

Latest New York Polling

NBC 4 NY/WSJ/Maris, April 10-13, Sample Size 313, Margin of Error 5.5%

Donald Trump   54%

Optimus, April 11-14, Sample Size 14201, Margin of Error 1.0%

Donald Trump   49%
John Kasich     23%
Ted Cruz          14%

Should "The Donald" secure victory by as large a margin as these polls suggest then it will be a welcome return to winning ways for him, having been soundly beaten in Wisconsin and after Cruz took all of the delegates in Colorado in somewhat controversial circumstances.

Pennsylvania Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

After a long wait, it will finally be Pennsylvania`s turn to vote in the Republican Primaries and unlike many previous election cycles, this time how the state votes could really affect the course of the race.

So the scene is set for a showdown between the remaining candidates on April 26, when voters from the Keystone State will go to the polls, alongside 4 other states, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland. In Pennsylvania there are 71 delegates available.

Polls show Trump ahead a long way in the state, however 54 of the delegates elected in the state are officially unbound and as such are not obligated to pledge support to whoever wins the primary.

Donald Trump    44%
Ted Cruz           28%
John Kasich      23%

Fox News Poll, April 4-7, Sample Size 802, Margin of Error 3.5%

Maryland Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

Maryland is one of five states where republican primaries will take place on April 26. Yet another "Super Tuesday" comes at a vital time given the current state of the race, with no candidate yet close to the 1,237 required delegate count, it appears that a contested convention may become a reality.

Businessman Donald Trump, who has run his campaign with the now famous slogan "Make America Great Again" is the only one who could realistically obtain enough delegates to become the nominee on the first vote. However recent loses in Utah, Wisconsin and Colorado mean that the contested convention is looking more and more likely.

The latest numbers from Maryland indicate the following percentages

Monmouth Poll, April 10-12, Sample Size 301, Margin of Error 5.7%

Donald Trump    47%
John Kasich      27%
Ted Cruz           24%

FreeBeacon/TargetPoint, April 8-10, Sample Size 600

Donald Trump    33%
Ted Cruz           26%
John Kasich      25%

There are 38 delegates in Maryland Awarded on a winner-take-all basis.

Delaware Republican Primary Polls April 16 2016 Trump, Cruz

The Delaware Primary will take place on April 26 alongside 4 other states, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland and Connecticut.

Depending on how the results go, these elections could give us a much clearer idea about about whether Donald Trump can win the nomination or if we are headed for a contested convention.

Trump will definately need to do well if he wants to keep his chances of reaching the 1,237 delegate mark alive. He now needs to win 60% of the remaning delegates in order to achieve this.

Although Delaware is one of the smaller states going to the polls, with only 16 delegates on offer, with a republican race coming down to the wire, every delegate counts.

No reliable polling has been conducted in the state which employs a winner-take-all format but recent polls show Trump leading by impressive margins in New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Republican Polls GOP Maryland April 16 2016 Trump, Cruz

The Maryland Republican Primary comes at a vital point in the race. Donald Trump is leading according to the latest polls with Ted Cruz and John Kasich in a close battle for second place.

RealClearPolitics Average (March 30-April 12)

Donald Trump    40.5%
John Kasich      26.8%
Ted Cruz           24%

This shows that Trump has a lead of 13.7% with just over a week remaining before the vote takes place.

Maryland is a winner-take-all state which makes it all the more important, especially for Trump who needs about 60% of the remaining delegates in order to secure the nomination, for Cruz that number rises to 90%, making it almost impossible for him to win and as for Kasich there are not enough delegates for him to triumph in the primary contest.

The best chance for Cruz and Kasich is to win enough delegates to stop Trump from reaching the 1,237 delegate mark and to force a contested convention.

Republican GOP Polls Pennsylvania April 16 2016

April 26 will be the date for the Pennsylvania Primary when voters will make their choice as to which Republican candidate best represents their views.

A mere 3 candidates remain in the race out of the original 17. It would appear that Donald Trump is the only one who can obtain the 1,237 that are needed, however if he fails to achieve that, then a contested convention looms.

There are a total of 71 delegates on offer in the Keystone State and it is one of five that will go to the polls on this date.

The current RealClearPolitics average shows a clear trend towards Trump

RealClearPolitics Average (March 29-April 12)

Donald Trump   43%
Ted Cruz          27.2%
John Kasich     23.8%
