Poll LA Times/USC, 2605 likely voters, Margin of Error 4.5%.

Hillary Clinton   44%
Donald Trump   44%

Most recent polls have seen Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump, in fact the RealClearPolitics Average shows Clinton leading by 3.3%, although just a few weeks ago he was down by about 6 points in this average, so he appears to be moving in the right direction.

RealClearPolitics Average (Last 9 polls conducted between August 25- September 5)

Hillary Clinton  46.2%
Donald Trump  42.9%

Usually this is the time when the race begins to get closer, so we could expect to see these numbers tightening in the next month or so, depending on what occurs within the campaign.

Latest Polls Trump vs Clinton August 27 2016

Polling data collected over the last few weeks continues to show Hillary Clinton with a substantial lead over Republican candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump.

The only reliable poll during the month of august that will bring any cheer to the Trump camp is one conducted by LA Times/USC which shows him tied with Clinton, all others show Clinton with a lead of between 3-10 points.

RealClearPolitics (average based on all reliable polls conducted between 1-24 August)

Hillary Clinton  47.7%
Donald Trump  41.7%

Clinton leading by 6 points.

It must be noted that many questions have been raised by certain sections of Trump supporters as to the reliability of the polling methods employed as of late, claiming them to be heavily weighted in favor of democrat voters.

Trump no doubt received a significant bounce following the RNC in July which actually showed him leading nationally in many polls, however since the DNC took place he seems to have fallen away and been unable to close the gap once more.

Donald Trump Polls Swing States July 2016

Shock new polls are showing Donald Trump making big gains in the key swing states of Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

According to Quinnipiac the numbers are the following

Florida

Trump    42%
Clinton   39%

Pennsylvania

Trump    43%
Clinton   41%

Ohio

Trump    42%
Clinton   42%

This is a massive change from June when the Quinnipiac showed Clinton with a healthy 8% lead in Florida and will no doubt have alarm bells ringing from within the democratic party. It may be merely a blip in the Clinton campaign following the email scandal, or indicative of a broader trend, one thing is sure, with the presidential election just months away, noboby can afford to be complacent.

It must be noted however, that Trump`s leads in Florida and Pennsylvania fall within the margin of error +/- 3%.
