Ali Sonboly, Munich Shooter, Not Connected to ISIS - Bavaria Police

According to comments by the Bavarian police Chief, Ali Sonboly, the 18 year old German Iranian citizen who opened fire at a Mcdonalds in the City of Munich had no connection to Islamic State and was in fact motivated by Norwegian mass killer, Anders Brevik.

At the apartment of the killer there were no indications that he was in contact with any known terrorist groups and seems to have acted alone.

The shooter also apparently hacked another persons Facebook account and made a posting offering free food in order to lure people to their deaths. "I can buy you something that´s not too expensive" he wrote.

According to police he also had books on mass school shooters and had was fascinated by them. He seemed to target children and young people specifically, with the ages of most of the victims less than 20.

Ali Sonboly reportedly committed suicide close to where the massacre took place, opting to end his life after his horrific crime.

Donald Trump Speech RNC Live July 21 2016

As expected Donald Trump has been officially nominated as the candidate for the Republican Party to take on the democrats in November`s election.

Since the departure of Ted Cruz and John Kasich from the race it became evident that the NeverTrump movement had run out of steam and many of those who were vehemently opposed to his nomination have now become reluctant supporters.

According to most national polls he remains adrift of Hillary Clinton but in shock polls that came out last week he was leading in two key swing states, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Many people think that Trump will benefit from a public sentiment of anger with elite politicians but it remains to be seen if he can win over enough votes from women and minorities in order to secure the presidency. Tomorrow the republican nominee will give a speech on the closing night of the RNC in Cleveland.

Donald Trump Polls Swing States July 2016

Shock new polls are showing Donald Trump making big gains in the key swing states of Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

According to Quinnipiac the numbers are the following

Florida

Trump    42%
Clinton   39%

Pennsylvania

Trump    43%
Clinton   41%

Ohio

Trump    42%
Clinton   42%

This is a massive change from June when the Quinnipiac showed Clinton with a healthy 8% lead in Florida and will no doubt have alarm bells ringing from within the democratic party. It may be merely a blip in the Clinton campaign following the email scandal, or indicative of a broader trend, one thing is sure, with the presidential election just months away, noboby can afford to be complacent.

It must be noted however, that Trump`s leads in Florida and Pennsylvania fall within the margin of error +/- 3%.
