Is Hillary Clinton winning Today November 8 2016 ?

As most readers probably know, today the Presidential Elections in the United States are underway.

It has been a pretty unstable race, with the polls fluctuating between giving the lead to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Voting is going on in states across the nation and we are currently awaiting the first results.

Once either of the candidates passes the magic 270 electoral vote mark, then the election will be over and a winner declared. This is expected to happen late Tuesday or Wednesday morning, in the case of a very close race, this could be delayed.

Once the first exit polls and results are available, they will be published here.

Exit Polls in Florida Today November 8 2016

Election day has finally arrived, after months of debate and polling, it is time to find out the result of the only poll that matters, the vote.

Florida of course is considered one of the most important states in the country to win for both sides, given the devided nature of the electorate there and the large amount of electoral college votes available.

Polling in recent weeks has shown a very tight race between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump.

As soon as the first results from the state of Florida are available they will be published here.

Texas Polls Trump vs Clinton October 2016 Winner

Texas is of course the most important state for the republicans to win, in 2008 Mccain won by 11.8 points and in 2012 Romney`s margin of victory was 15.8 points.

Texas has a total of 38 electoral votes and has voted republican in every election since 1976, so it would be hard to bet against yet another republican victory here this year.

According to the average of the last polls Trump has a 7.6% advantage, well within the margin of error.

RealClearPolitics (August 8- September 11)

Donald Trump   43.3%
Hillary Clinton   35.7%

New York Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

Donald Trump, who is currently leading the Republican Race will face off against Ted Cruz and John Kasich in his home state of New York on April 19. Many commentators see Trump as the massive favourite going into the contest and polls support this conclusion.

In fact such is the businessman`s support in the northern state that the majority of recent polls are showing him easily exceeding 50% of the vote. Should this be reflected in the results and Trump gains the majority of support in all districts then he would win almost all of the delegates that are on offer, a total of 95.

Latest New York Polling

NBC 4 NY/WSJ/Maris, April 10-13, Sample Size 313, Margin of Error 5.5%

Donald Trump   54%
John Kasich     25%
Ted Cruz          16%

Optimus, April 11-14, Sample Size 14201, Margin of Error 1.0%

Donald Trump   49%
John Kasich     23%
Ted Cruz          14%

Should "The Donald" secure victory by as large a margin as these polls suggest then it will be a welcome return to winning ways for him, having been soundly beaten in Wisconsin and after Cruz took all of the delegates in Colorado in somewhat controversial circumstances.

Pennsylvania Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

After a long wait, it will finally be Pennsylvania`s turn to vote in the Republican Primaries and unlike many previous election cycles, this time how the state votes could really affect the course of the race.

So the scene is set for a showdown between the remaining candidates on April 26, when voters from the Keystone State will go to the polls, alongside 4 other states, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maryland. In Pennsylvania there are 71 delegates available.

Polls show Trump ahead a long way in the state, however 54 of the delegates elected in the state are officially unbound and as such are not obligated to pledge support to whoever wins the primary.

Monmouth Poll April 10-12, Sample Size 303, Margin of Error 5.6%

Donald Trump    44%
Ted Cruz           28%
John Kasich      23%

Fox News Poll, April 4-7, Sample Size 802, Margin of Error 3.5%

Donald Trump    48%
John Kasich      22%
Ted Cruz           20%

Maryland Republican GOP Polls April 17 2016 Trump, Cruz

Maryland is one of five states where republican primaries will take place on April 26. Yet another "Super Tuesday" comes at a vital time given the current state of the race, with no candidate yet close to the 1,237 required delegate count, it appears that a contested convention may become a reality.

Businessman Donald Trump, who has run his campaign with the now famous slogan "Make America Great Again" is the only one who could realistically obtain enough delegates to become the nominee on the first vote. However recent loses in Utah, Wisconsin and Colorado mean that the contested convention is looking more and more likely.

The latest numbers from Maryland indicate the following percentages

Monmouth Poll, April 10-12, Sample Size 301, Margin of Error 5.7%

Donald Trump    47%
John Kasich      27%
Ted Cruz           24%

FreeBeacon/TargetPoint, April 8-10, Sample Size 600

Donald Trump    33%
Ted Cruz           26%
John Kasich      25%

There are 38 delegates in Maryland Awarded on a winner-take-all basis.

Democratic Polls April 1 2016 Clinton Sanders

As the democratic primaries enter the home straight, the battle intensifies. Hillary Clinton is current leading  having secured more delegates than her opponent Bernie Sanders.

Sanders however is not giving up, suggesting that his strongest states are still to come and a flow of victories for his side could alter the allegiances of the superdelegates that are currently supporting Clinton in overwhelming numbers.

During April a number of vital states go to the polls:

April 5

Wisconsin

April 9

Wyoming

April 19

New York

April 26

Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island

Clinton Currently has won 1,243 delegates compared with 980 for Sanders, however Clinton has the loyalty of 469 superdelegates while only 31 support Sanders, meaning the estimated count is 1,712-1,011.

Arizona Republican Poll GOP March 21 2016

Arizona goes to the polls on March 22 and as a winner-take-all state, it is of vital importance.

Given the state of play in the republican race, the 58 delegates available in Arizona could go a long way towards deciding the final outcome.

Often at this stage of a campaign most of the republican establishment figures will have thrown their support behind one candidate in particular and the outcome will be a forgone conclusion. This time however, given that the favorite and current frontrunner, businessman Donald Trump is such a polarizing candidate, many in the party are actually plotting in order to deny him the nomination.

The RealClearPolitics average of polls indicates the following percentages in Arizona

Donald Trump   34%
Ted Cruz          21%
John Kasich     12.5%

Should these numbers materialize on the day of the election then Trump will make off with the 58 delegates and be one step closer to the 1,237 that he requires in order to secure the nomination outright. We will have to wait and see.

New York Poll Republican GOP March 2016

In the state of New York Donald Trump has a massive lead according to new polls. The real estate mogul has 64% of the vote with Ted Cruz on 12% and John Kasich on 1%.

Many commentators had hitherto been of the opinion that Trump would not be able to garner above 50% of the support in any one state. The new poll conducted by Emerson College conclusively proves that 50% is not his ceiling and he can dominate the vote even in a three man race.

It remains to be seen whether or not these polling numbers will be repeated on the day of the primary but it would be hard to see him losing the state from such a dominant position.

The poll took place between March 14- March 16 and included 298 likely voters with a margin of error of 5.6%.

Predictions Utah Republican GOP 2016 Trump, Cruz, Kasich

The Utah Republican Presidential Caucus is swiftly approaching and 40 vital delegates are up for grabs. The question is, who will triumph in the state?

Not much polling has been done here but at the beginning of January a poll of 415 likely republican voters showed a four way split between Rubio 15%, Cruz 18%, Trump 17% and Carson 15%. After the withdrawal of Rubio and Carson from the race it is now likely to be a battle between Cruz and Trump although Kasich is likely to see his percentage rise from the 1% he was polling earlier in the year.

Ted Cruz should win the state rather easily as Mormon voters who consider themselves very religious tend to shy away from voting for Trump. Many commentators have noted this trend which could wreck any hopes the business mogul has for a victory here.

Trump Poll California March 2016 Republican GOP

A new poll coming out of the state of California shows Republican candidate Donald Trump with a significant lead.

Trump polled 38.3% of the vote followed by 22.4% for Cruz and 19.7% for Kasich. Rubio had 10.1% of the preferences but has since suspended his campaign, 9.6% of the voters were undecided.

Should this poll be accurate then it would represent a big change from January when Ted Cruz had a slight advantage.

California is a winner-take-all state that will go to the polls on June 7 and has 172 delegates available.

Results Missouri Republican GOP March 15 2016

Missouri will vote in the Republican Primaries on March 15 and there are 52 delegates available in the state.

According to a recent poll conducted by Fort Hays St, University of 208 likely voters Trump has the advantage at 36% followed by Cruz on 29% Rubio on 9% and Kasich on 8%

The day`s main contests are considered to be in Florida and Ohio, the former showing that Donald Trump has a big lead and should be victorious, however in Ohio the situation is somewhat more complex, with current Governor John Kasich having a slender lead over the real estate mogul.

Should Trump win in both Florida and Ohio then it would provide a massive boost to his campaign although some commentators believe he will fall just short of the 1,237 delegates he requires in order to obtain the nomination thus leading to a contested convention.

When the results are available they will be published here.
