Predictions for the United States 2017
The year 2017 looks like being a very eventful one for the United States, not least due to the fact that a new President will be in place, Donald Trump.
Trump has indicated that he wishes to take the country in a very different direction compared to the last years and decades, as his campaign motto would indicate "make America great again".
Since his victory, protests have erupted across the country, from New York to Los Angeles, these undertaken by people upset by Trump`s stated policies, such as to construct a wall on the southern border of the US and to restrict immigration.
Another big event will be the total eclipse which will take part on August 21, the first of these such astronomical phenomenon to be seen in the United States since 1979. Only a small corridor of the US will see a full eclipse, although most of the country will see at least 80% of the sun covered by our natural satellite.

Predictions for Donald Trump in 2017
Donald Trump has been chosen as the President of the United States in the elections undertaken on November 8, however, he will not be officially sworn in until January 20, 2017.
To say that his campaign was controversial, is a major understatement, he offended many who disagreed with his stated policies, especially when it came to both illegal and Muslim immigration.
One of his policies is to construct a great wall on the southern border of the United States in order to stop people entering the country illegally from Mexico and Central America. He also called for a complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US, although he later walked back on this a little, saying that it would apply only to people from certain countries.
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have wished Trump well during his presidency, what do you think? Will Trump make a good President?

How much will Donald Trump earn as President ?
Donald Trump will have to take a pay cut when he becomes President, according to Forbes, the businessman is worth $3.7 billion dollars, although Trump himself insists his worth is in excess of $10 billion.
Now that he is leader of the United States, he will earn about $400,000 per year, which is the current salary of President Barack Obama. In addition he is allowed $50,000 for other expenses.
It must also be noted that he will have no costs such as rent, water, electricity telephone or transport, just some of the benefits that the President receives.

Super Moon in the United States 11/14/2016 Live
A very interesting phenomena is about to occur, on November 14, 2016, a "Super Moon" will be observable in the United States.
This happens when the moon is closer than normal to the earth and increases in size and brightness.
Although this is not an especially rare event, sometimes happening various times in one year, what makes this one different is that it will be the most pronounced since 1948, the moon will be about 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal.
It will be visible to all, the only possible obstacle being cloud cover.

Super Moon Time November 14 2016 USA
This November 14, we will have to opportunity to observe a very interesting astronomical event.
The "supermoon" occurs when a full moon coincides with the closest point between the earth and our natural satellite, making it appear bigger and brighter than usual.
Although this is quite a common phenomena (in fact there will be 3 such events in 2016, one already occurred in October and one more to come on December 13), what sets the one on November 14 apart is that it will be the brightest since 1948.
It can be viewed best in places where the horizon is visible and in an area with low light pollution and using binoculars.

When will Trump start to build the wall with Mexico?
It is official, Donald Trump is the president elect of the United States. The shock win on Tuesday when the real estate mogul triumphed over Hillary Clinton, raised many questions as to his stated policy positions and when and how he plans to implement them.
One of his signature proposals has been to build a wall on the southern border of the United States and that Mexico will pay for it.
At the current time it is not clear if Trump really will go ahead with this plan and when in theory the construction of the wall would begin.
He has previously estimated the cost of the wall at between 10-12 billion dollars, spanning a distance of more than 1000 kilometers.

Colorado Exit Poll Today 11/8/2016
Colorado is one of the key states in the presidential race this year.
Despite only having 9 electoral votes, there is a lot of attention being placed here, given that the state has fluctuated between republican and democrat over the last few election cycles.
Between 1996 and 2004 the state voted republican and then in 2008 and 2012 they switched to vote democrat, voting for the President Barack Obama. Amazingly Colorado has voted for the overall winner of the election in 8 out of the last 9 presidential races.
The polls from the state have been quite volatile and nothing is certain, however, as soon as we have the first results, they will be published here.

Exit Poll Florida Today November 8 2016
Whoever you support, few can deny that this election has been one of the strangest in living memory. The amount of twists and turns in this campaign has been truly stunning.
Most national polls, as well as those conducted in key swing states have given the advantage to Hillary Clinton.
However in the last few days a glimmer of hope has emerged for the republican candidate Donald Trump, with the release of new polls which show him rapidly gaining on the former Secretary of State. This follows the news that Obamacare premiums are due to rise 25% in 2017 and the announcement by FBI director James Comey that new emails have emerged which appear to be in some way connected to the case that was pursued against Clinton for her use of a private server.

Predictions USA November 8 2016
There is a great degree of speculation as to who will triumph on this November 8 in the United States.
Until now it has been a pretty strange campaign, the 2 candidates have very high unfavorable ratings. Donald Trump has offended quite a few people with his declarations about illegal immigration and Muslims. Clinton on the other hand has a long political trajectory but also a lot of scandals.
Trump has a very strong base of support in certain sectors of the population, people were are very enthusiastic with his candidature, regularly 15,000 people or more.
On the other hand Clinton has been unable to garner the same amount of enthusiasm, however she appears to be winning in the polls at least, due to people who have a great deal of rejection for Trump.

Donald Trump Predictions November 2016
With just a few days until voters in the country with the biggest economy in the world go to the polls, there are many questions swirling around, with few answers.
Donald Trump burst onto the political scene just over a year ago and immediately generated both very positive and negative emotions within the population.
He has received every acusation possible, from being called a racist, sexist, xenophobic and having his hollywood star smashed up with a man wielding a sledgehammer.
However many of his supporters have insisted that he is a visionary and is the only person who can save the United States.
Trump has been extremely critical of the press, to say the least. This appears to have brought about the fury of many journalists, who appear to be mostly backing Hillary Clinton.
According to the latest polls, Clinton is leading by between 3-10 points on a national level.

Will the Presidential Election 2016 be Rigged?
Republican Candidate for President, Donald Trump, has been claiming for the last few weeks that the election will be "rigged".
The real estate mogul didn`t back down from his stance at the third Presidential Debate when asked by moderator Chris Wallace he if would accept the results of the election, refusing to respond in the affirmative before saying "I`ll keep you in suspense".
President Obama was quick to condemn Trump`s remarks saying "Of course the elections are not going to be rigged, what does that even mean?", before saying that Trump should stop "whining".
At the same time however, many on the democrat side have made claims that the russians are interfering in the election and may attempt to alter the result.

Who is Winning Trump or Clinton October 2016
According to the majority of recent polling data Hillary Clinton holds the lead over Donald Trump nationally. The latest RealClearPolitics Average demonstrates this
RealClearPolitics Average (Based on polls conducted between )
Hillary Clinton 48.1%
Donald Trump 44.3%
Although it is also important to take into consideration swing state polls, which can be of vital importance in determining the outcome of the election, it would be difficult for Trump to win being 4 points adrift of Clinton nationally.
"The Donald" must take certain states such as Florida, North Carolina and Ohio if he is to have a chance of victory, the race in those states is still too close to call and both campaigns have been focusing their energies on these places.

When will Hurricane Matthew Hit North Carolina ?
After battering Haiti, Hurricane Matthew is not taking aim at Cuba, The Bahamas and even the United States.
It had long been thought that there was no danger of the storm impacting the country and some US coastal regions would merely be effected by the outer bands with heavy rain.
This all changed on Monday evening when forecasters sharply changed their predictions, indicating that Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina are now all in danger of receiving an impact, a state of emergency has been issued and these states are preparing themselves for the worst.
Matthew has been very unpredictable so it is best to remain updated with the forecast every few hours, it is currently thought that it could impact Florida as a category 3 storm, which is something that authorities are taking very seriously.

Hurricane Matthew was hitting Haiti with full force on Tuesday as the enpoverished nation struggled to cope with the category 4 storm packing winds in excess of 140mph and up to 40 inches (over a meter) of rain.
A hurricane warning is also in effect for parts of Cuba and the Bahamas. Initially it was thought that the storm would not make landfall in the United States but rather track out to sea. However yesterday evening forecasters warned that the danger is now real that Matthew will strike Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas later this week.
Anyone living in these areas, especially in coastal zones should remain updated with the latest forecast and follow the instructions of your local authorities.

Poll Trump vs Clinton October 4 2016
Neither candidate in this election campaign has been exempt from scandals and a great deal of mistrust from the public.
The recent first presidential debate has only served to further expand the devide within the two camps, Clinton went after Trump over his payment of taxes and that he should release his tax returns, Trump responded by saying he is under audit by the IRS and would release his tax returns when Clinton releases the 33,000 emails that she sent using a private server.
The debate doesn`t seem to have had a massive effect on the polling numbers, Clinton continues to lead by a solid margin, but still cannot break away from Trump.

Who is the Moderator for the second debate October 19 2016
The second presidential debate will take place on October 19 at Washington University, St Louis and have a duration of 90 minutes.
As always there is great interest in who will be the moderator for the debate, especially following some controversy in the first debate with many Trump supporter`s alleging that Lester Holt had displayed bias against their candidate, taking a much harder line of questioning on the Republican, while letting Clinton off the hook with regard to some of her more difficult issues.
There will be two moderators for the second debate, Martha Raddatz who works for ABC and Anderson Cooper who is a presenter on CNN.

Second Presidential Debate Format 19 October 2016
After a highly anticipated and heated first presidential debate, we will barely have time to catch our breath because the second debate will take place on October 19, just a few weeks away.
Certainly the first debate, which was viewed by some 100 million people via television and online media, was not exempt from controversy. After a good start, Donald Trump seemed to lose his way as he was mocked by Clinton about his tax returns and comments about women. Many in the Trump campaign have claimed that moderator Lester Holt was harsher on Trump compared to Clinton and "The Donald" also complained that his microphone had malfunctioned.
The second debate will have a Town Hall type format with undecided voters able to pose questions to the candidates during the first half of the event and then in the second the moderators will grill them with different questions.
The debate will take place at Washington University in St Louis and last for a total of 90 minutes beginning at 9pm ET, 8pm CT, 7pm MT and 6pm PT.
When will Hurricane Matthew Hit Florida ?
Hurricane Matthew continues to bear down on the carribean nations of Jamaica, Haiti and Cuba, which are expected to feel the full force of the category 4 storm.
Up to 27 inches of rain are expected in certain parts of Haiti, which 40 (101cm) inches in insolated areas, possibly triggering landslides and chaos in one of the poorest countries in the world which was devastated by an earthquake in 2010.
With winds of 130mph and gusts even higher, structural damage is highly possible also. The Dominican Republic is expected to be spared the brunt of the hurricane, although some parts of the country, especially in the west, are likely to experience storm force winds and very heavy rain triggering the possibility of flash flooding.
UPDATE: This afternoon forecasters have warned that Hurricane Matthew now looks likely to track west putting the coasts of Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina in danger.
This is the latest predicted path of the storm
Texas Polls Trump vs Clinton October 2016 Winner
Texas is of course the most important state for the republicans to win, in 2008 Mccain won by 11.8 points and in 2012 Romney`s margin of victory was 15.8 points.
Texas has a total of 38 electoral votes and has voted republican in every election since 1976, so it would be hard to bet against yet another republican victory here this year.
According to the average of the last polls Trump has a 7.6% advantage, well within the margin of error.

Poll Trump vs Clinton Arizona October 2016 Who is Winning
Arizona is considered a solidly republican state, in fact the democrats have only won one presidential election here since 1948. This said the polls are currently indicating quite a close race.
Trump has the advantage there is no doubt about that and due to history, it would be safe to assume that "The Donald" as his supporters know him, will triumph here this year.
However according to the RealClearPolitics average between August 17- September 8 Trump has an advantage of 1.6%.
Donald Trump 41.6%
Hillary Clinton 40.0%
It remains to be seen what will happen on election day, however this advantage is less than the margin of victory of McCain in 2008 (+8.5) and Romney in 2012 (+9.1).
