Maryland Republican GOP Polls April 15 2016 Trump, Cruz

Maryland goes to the polls on April 26. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich will face off in what will no doubt be an eventful day as the Old Line State votes on the same day as Pennsylvania, Delaware, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

There are 38 delegates available and according to polls in the state Donald Trump has a significant lead.

RealClearPolitics Average (March 30-April 12)

Donald Trump    40.5%
John Kasich      26.8%
Ted Cruz           24.0%

In order for Trump to pass the magic 1,237 mark he would have to win 60% of the remaining delegates, Cruz would have to win roughly 90% of remaining delegates and as for Kasich it is mathematically impossible for him to reach 1,237.

If no candidate reaches this amount then there will be a contested convention in Cleveland.
